The Prism PU Science College established in 2011, is one of the premier institutions in the State of Karnataka. The College is affiliated to the Karnataka State Pre University Board, Bangalore. Since its inception, the college has grown by leaps and bounds. It has become a synonym for “Value based higher education”. The institution is committed to the principles of equity, excellence, discipline and secularism. It has thrown its doors open to students of all communities.
Education is not just an act of acquiring knowledge but learning a skill to lead life and forming one's personality. This is an ennobling process of growth. Colleges play a major role in the lives of students, especially in the beginning, when they help to organize their studying and settling in the feeling of 'identity' to every student.
The college has a hostel, located in the same compound. Boarding and lodging facilities are provided for 236 boys and 236 Girls. The charges are fixed on a dividing basis. The administration of the Hostel is controlled by the by the management.
LIBRARY: One of the well stacked libraries in Dharwad. Prisms has a collection of books; we have also equipped our library with completive reference books for benefit of the students.
LABORATORY: The College has spacious well equipped laboratories.
The College has adequate buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in the city. This facility has made it possible to start the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students.
